Board Approves Three Teachers

Trustees approved three teaching positions during the Regular School Board Meeting Monday.
Teachers approved include:
- Stephanie Irving, Special Education Teacher, Los Cuates Middle School
- Alyssa Perales, Special Education Teacher, Olmito Elementary School
- Alejandro Troncoso, Special Education Teacher, Los Cuates Middle School
Action Items
Trustees took the following action:
- Adopted Policy CLC (LOCAL) on Second Reading.
- Approved the Nomination of trustee Jesus Amaya as a candidate for the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors.
Consent Agenda Trustees approved:
- minutes of the Board Meeting held May 13.
- Budget Amendment #15 for Fiscal Year 2012-13.
- Ad-Valorem Tax Refunds for the Month of May, 2013.
- Renewal of agreements/contracts for Basic and Voluntary Employee Life Insurance Benefits and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance with MetLife.
- Renewal of agreements/contracts with independent contractors for Professional Services for 2013-14 school year – Prepaid legal (Voluntary Employee Benefits)
- a Declaration that certain district property is surplus and authorized administration to dispose of said property as appropriate.

Los Fresnos CISD Board of TrusteesBoard meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Los Fresnos CISD Training Center/Board Room, located next to Los Fresnos Elementary School on Texas Highway 100.
