This year’s Los Fresnos 4th of July Celebration will once again feature a Red, White and Blue Parade. The parade will be a FREE parade, no fee or registration is required. It will be a community parade asking participants to dress up in their best Red, White and Blues.
Bring and dress your dog, your cat, wagons, strollers, bikes, skate board or just yourself and walk with the Los Fresnos community from Second Street to the Memorial Park. Floats and horses will not be permitted for the parade. Those participating in the parade will need to begin lining up on N. Brazil and 2nd street at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2015.
The parade will start at 4:00 p.m. and be led by the Boy and Girl Scouts. The parade will begin at Second and Brazil streets, proceed east on Second Street, turn left at Arroyo Boulevard, and finish at Memorial Park. The parade will be the kick off to the afternoon’s Independence Day celebration that will consist of; music by the “Highway 100 Band” a popular local band that plays a variety of music.
The Independence Day celebration will begin at 5 p.m. at Memorial Park. The event will feature free activities such as a giant slide, watermelon slices, swimming pool access, a presentation of our beautiful Nation’s colors and program, train rides, super swing rides, and a bouncer. There will also be merchandise vendors and food vendors available. The program will end with a bang as fireworks will light up the night sky at 9:00 p.m.
