South Padre Island, Texas 80 Degrees Farenheit “HOT” new Winter Tourist attraction is the Schlitterbahn Heated Indoor Water Park which is now open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Saturday December 19, 2015 through January 3, 2016!

While South Padre Island’s Beach is still great for a stroll or sandcastle building during these winter months, Schlitterbahn’s 80 degree Heated Indoor Water Park, with its giant spa and complete with Schlitterbahn’s famous rides, is just too much to pass up!

Through Sunday, January 3, 2016, Schlitterbahn owners the Henry family, natives of New Braunfels, are providing FREE ALL DAY passes to the Schlitterbahn 80 Degree Heated Indoor Water Park to visitors tjat spend $30 or more with participating South Padre Island sponsors.

The Henrys were moved, not only to show their appreciation to loyal visitors who come every year during the Spring and Summer season to the Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark, but to help out their neighbor businesses that were recently affected by the last red tide algae bloom.

Fall tourism numbers declined significantly all along the Texas coast, not only from the red tide, but from unprecedented rainfall taht kept tourists away 3 out of 4 weekends during September, October and November.

The free pass winter promotion will continue through January and February 2016 when the Schlitterbahn 80 Degree Heated Indoor Water Park will be open every Saturday and Sunday.

The indoor water park is located just north of the main Schlitterbahn Water Park and immediately right of the entrance to the Schlitterbahn Beach Resort (formerly Holiday Inn South Padre Island Hotel).
