Falcon Law Team Wins Region; Qualifies for State

The Los Fresnos High School Falcon Law team took top honors at the Texas Public Service Association (TSPA) South Region competition Saturday, Decmeber 10th, at Sharyland Pioneer High School.

LFHS qualified 20 students to the TPSA state competition to be held April 7-8 in El Paso. An additional 10 students are alternates. Students who placed among the top three in the individual and team events qualified for state, which will draw students from the six state regions.

State Qualifiers: Disturbance Call: Emmanuel Delgadillo and Melissa Chaidez, 3rd; Fingerprinting Lifting (Individual Event): Karynna Larrasquitu, 2nd; Traffic Stop: Katie Sandoval, 1st, Aryssa Martinez, 2nd; Felony Traffic Stop: Team of Aaron Barrera, Sabrina Salazar and Azzabeth Mejia, 1st; Obstacle Course Female: Aubree Ramos, 3rd; Firefighter Obstacle Course Female: Lorena Martinez, 2nd; Defensive Tactics (Individual Event): Adamaris Alvarez, 2nd and Javier Huerta, 3rd; Ideal Prison, Team 1: Erica Nieto and Tania Hernandez, 2nd; Closing Argument: Michelle Pineda, 2nd; Marketing Poster: Daynalee Rangel, 1st; Maria Gonzalez, 2nd, and Blanca Estrada, 3rd; Theme: Cindy Ortiz, 1st; Bulletin Board: Angie Garza, 1st.
