Get Free Comic Books During Halloween ComicFest

Comic and pop-culture fans are encouraged to visit their local comic shop on Saturday, October 28th for free comics and to participate in Halloween activities, shopping and fun!

2017 HCF Presented By(BALTIMORE, MD) — On Saturday, October 28th, participating comic shops across the US, Canada and internationally will hand out more than 1.75 million free comics to anyone who comes into their shop during Halloween ComicFest! Customers who visit a participating comic shop can choose a free Halloween ComicFest comic or mini-comic and participate in fun Halloween related activities hosted by comic shops!

Thirty free comics, including eighteen full-size and twelve mini-comics can be picked up; with titles including DC Comics’ Batman: Night of the Monster Men and DC Super Hero Girls, Marvel Comics’ Thor by Simonson #1 and Runaways #1, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Ghostbusters, Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. 1953, Donald Duck and more great titles for comic readers of all ages to snatch up for a thrilling read.

Halloween ComicFest also features “The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever,” currently running until November 6th at halloweencomicfest.com.  Anyone can enter in one of five categories by uploading a picture of themselves in costume holding one of the free Halloween ComicFest comics and submitting it into the appropriate category on the contest site. Prizes include $500 and $100 shopping sprees to the winner’s local comic shop, in addition to category prizes for the participants who receive the most votes for their costume!  Voting runs from November 1st to 6th but anyone can submit their Halloween ComicFest costume contest photo through the 6th.  It is crucial to remember that only photos with a Halloween ComicFest comic in the picture will be accepted.
