The amount of business activity taking place in Los Fresnos is an indication the community is moving into a high gear and there is no let down as the year keeps hitting the road.

As the month of March approaches its mid-term, new and existing business are making headlines as reported by the local chamber of commerce.

Los Fresnos Plaza, the newest strip mall on Highway 100, has not even been built in its totality yet new tenants can’t wait to go in.

A grand opening of a new martial arts academy was going to take place two weeks ago but it had to be pushed back due to unfinished construction.

The event was rescheduled for last weekend and was held as originally planned.

On other fronts, an adult citizens’ care facility, called Amazing Grace Primary Home Care, relocated to a new home on Ocean Boulevard due to growth and the opening of other businesses were announced by the chamber.

Val Champion, the organization executive director, said Los Fresnos is on the right path.

The new plaza will have three tenants – Safe Ride Driving School, Fruyo and the martial arts academy and across from the rodeo grounds several tenants are already open for business.

“I think it is great and wonderful that this is happening,” he said. “Our friendly suburban community keeps growing.”
