Photo: Tony Vindell\/LFN<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>by Tony Vindell\/LFN<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Three city alleys that have deteriorated due to traffic and the inclement weather will be upgraded thanks to funding from the Community Development Corp.<\/p>\n<p>The entity board of directors voted to allocate $36,000 for the project at its last meeting and the city commission did so at its May 21 meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The alleys are behind Julia\u2019s and Taqueria &amp; Antojitos Mario and Circle K.<\/p>\n<p>The project will get started once the city hires a contractor to do the work.<\/p>\n<p>Although CDC can\u2019t allocate funds for streets in residential areas, the corporation can do so on streets where businesses are located, City Manager Mark Milum said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Tony Vindell\/LFN Three city alleys that have deteriorated due to traffic and the inclement weather will be upgraded thanks to funding from the Community Development Corp.
