Photo: Tony Vindell\/LFN<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>by Tony Vindell\/LFN<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The tropical fruit mango will be the center of attention of a festival to be held this Saturday in the Town of Bayview.<\/p>\n<p>So anyone interested in learning, tasting, touching or buying one of mangoes should head out to the RGV 11th annual Mango Fest.<\/p>\n<p>The four-hour event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Paradise Gardens at 27510 Ted Hunt Rd.<\/p>\n<p>There will be mango-related activities such as pie eating contest, face painting, coloring and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Also, a mango queen will be crowned during the fest among three finalists \u2013 Karen Zambrano of Los Fresnos, Ashley Galvan of Harlingen and Brandy Sanchez of Brownsville.<\/p>\n<p>To get to Paradise Gardens take FM 506 or 106 in Harlingen, pass Rio Hondo and take a right on Ted Hunt Road until the sign is visible.<\/p>\n<p>From Los Fresnos and Brownsville, take FM 1847, take a right on FM 510, pass the four way-stop, keep going and take a left on Ted Hunt Road.<\/p>\n<p>And for South Padre Island\/Port-Isabel\/Laguna Heights and Laguna Vista area, take Highway 100 west, take a right on FM 510 and keep going and take a right on Ted Hunt Road.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children three to 11 years of age.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Tony Vindell\/LFN The tropical fruit mango will be the center of attention of a festival to be held this Saturday in the Town of Bayview.
