history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The community-wide event took place under strict guidelines because of the health situation inflicting the country and this city as well, but that did not stop the participating organizations from having the activity for the benefit of the children from here and its surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hundreds of vehicles packed with Trick or Treaters, their parents and other relatives paraded before the dozen or so tents and Halloween-themed booths to get goody bags, bottled water and other items donated by participating business, churches and government entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival was held this time on the rodeo grounds rather than at the city\u2019s park on North Arroyo Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image bags.<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a great way to give back to the community,\u201d Chad Bresson, with the Table of Los Fresnos Church, said. \u201cAs you can see, everybody is here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bresson\u2019s and the other churches have been participating on a regular basis, and a few others did show up for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among them were San Benito- based South Texas Independent School District, several real estate and insurance companies and some of Los Fresnos newest businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Claudia Hernandez, a realtor with RE\/MAX Elite, said she was glad to participate in the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"980\" height=\"653\" School.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI live in Los Fresnos, a great place to live,\u201d she said, \u201cand I love it here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maria and Marilyn Garcia, who brought several children to the festival, said everybody seemed to be enjoying the way the festival was held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As they drove by, scores of vehicles packed with Halloweeners dressed up in costumes of all sorts kept a steady line until the last one headed out of the rodeo grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the festival took place in a different way, many of the participants said \u201cHats Off\u2019 to the City of Los Fresnos, the Community Development Corp. and the local Chamber of Commerce for having this year\u2019s festival, considering today\u2019s
