{"id":1499,"date":"2013-06-28T20:29:24","date_gmt":"2013-06-28T20:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/?p=1499"},"modified":"2013-06-28T20:34:38","modified_gmt":"2013-06-28T20:34:38","slug":"district-improvement-plan-presented-to-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/?p=1499","title":{"rendered":"District Improvement Plan Presented to Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Trustees Approve Six Strategy Changes in Presentation by Ada Amaro-Sibaja<\/h2>\n<p>Executive Director for Support Services Ada Amaro-Sibaja presented the 2013-14 District Improvement plan to the Board of Trustees, highlighting changes from 2012-13 at their meeting held Monday, June 10.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the changes include changes in the strategies within six of the 10 District Goals.<\/p>\n<p>Trustees also received the following Financial Reports:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Portfolio Report<\/li>\n<li>Tax Collection Report<\/li>\n<li>Summary Revenue and Expenditure Status Reports<\/li>\n<li>Monthly Disbursements<\/li>\n<li>Budget Amendments<\/li>\n<li>Budget\/Tax, Election Calendars Presented<\/li>\n<li>Trustees received the 2013-14 Budget and Tax Calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Important dates include (subject to change):<br \/>\n\u2022 Aug. 12: Budget workshop scheduled prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting. During the meeting, a tax rate will be proposed and a date will be set for a required public hearing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aug. 26: Public Hearing at a special called meeting and adoption of the tax rate and budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Trustees also received the Election calendar for the Nov. 5 Uniform Election Date. Dates include (subject to change):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>July 27: First day for candidates to file for Place on General Election Ballot<\/li>\n<li>Aug. 26: Last day to order General Election<\/li>\n<li>Aug. 26: Last day to file for Place on General Election Ballot (5 p.m.)<\/li>\n<li>Sept. 6: First day to apply for ballot by mail<\/li>\n<li>Oct. 7: Last day to register to vote<\/li>\n<li>Oct. 21: First day of early voting<\/li>\n<li>Oct. 29: Last day to apply for ballot by mail<\/li>\n<li>Nov. 1: Last day of early voting<\/li>\n<li>Nov. 5: Election Day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Board Workshop<br \/>\nAfter the Board meeting, Trustees held a Workshop on the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation by Pioneer Green Energy \u2013 San Roman Wind One<\/li>\n<li>Presentation on preliminary State Assessment Data<\/li>\n<li>Presentation on grading policy<\/li>\n<li>Discussion on items pertaining to 2013-14 budget<\/li>\n<li>Discussion on improvement of facilities for 2013-14<\/li>\n<li>Discussion on enrollment for 2013-14<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trustees Approve Six Strategy Changes in Presentation by Ada Amaro-Sibaja Executive Director for Support Services Ada Amaro-Sibaja presented the 2013-14 District Improvement plan to the Board of Trustees, highlighting changes from 2012-13 at their meeting held Monday, June 10.
