On Saturday December 16th South Padre Island held its first ever drone light show. The show took place at the Cameron County Amphitheater and Events Center and was presented by Space X. The light show named Dashing Through the Sky: A Christmas Drone Story was a spectacular event for all to see. This was the Valley\u2019s first drone show set to illuminate the South Texas sky. There were about 400 drones powered by Sky Elements Drones lighting up the sky that evening. The event was free to the public but since it was at Isla Blanca Park there was an entrance fee to the park. But the show could be seen from other places on the island. The light show wasn\u2019t the only thing going on that evening. There was also a Holiday Village with holiday music, food, and an interactive KidZone. There was a special live performance by Tyrone Vaughn. Let\u2019s hope that next year there will be an even bigger event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El s\u00e1bado 16 de diciembre, South Padre Island celebr\u00f3 su primer espect\u00e1culo de luces con drones. El espect\u00e1culo tuvo lugar en el anfiteatro y centro de eventos del condado de Cameron y fue presentado por Space X. El espect\u00e1culo de luces llamado Dashing Through the Sky: A Christmas Drone Story fue un evento espectacular para que todos lo vieran. Este fue el primer espect\u00e1culo de drones del Valle destinado a iluminar el cielo del sur de Texas. Hab\u00eda alrededor de 400 drones propulsados \u200b\u200bpor Sky Elements Drones iluminando el cielo esa noche. El evento fue gratuito para el p\u00fablico pero como fue en el Parque Isla Blanca hab\u00eda una tarifa de entrada al parque. Pero el espect\u00e1culo se pudo ver desde otros lugares de la isla. El espect\u00e1culo de luces no fue lo \u00fanico que sucedi\u00f3 esa noche. Tambi\u00e9n hubo un Holiday Village con m\u00fasica navide\u00f1a, comida y una KidZone interactiva. Hubo una actuaci\u00f3n especial en vivo de Tyrone Vaughn. Esperemos que el a\u00f1o que viene haya un evento a\u00fan mayor.
