For the School, Chamber, and City a little rain wasn\u2019t gonna stop 2024\u2019s parade. The parade was initially scheduled for Saturday, February 17th, but due to weather conditions, on Friday, February 16th Los Fresnos CISD released the news that they would be rescheduling due to the, \u201csafety and well-being of our participants.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The Rodeo Parade was rescheduled and took place on Thursday, February 29. Many people were very pleased with the decision as so many kids and families and sponsors put alot of time, effort and resources into this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Terry Sandate, the Secretary for the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce shares that many families wanted to see their children and grandchildren in the parade. Sandate adds that overall it was, \u201cpretty well attended,\u201d adding that they had about 52 entries and 30 horses in the parade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Victoria Cisnero, the Communications Coordinator shares the following:
\u201cThe Los Fresnos CISD is pleased to collaborate with our community partners on the Rodeo Parade. Each year, staff and student organizations assist with the general coordination of the parade route and lineup, as well as participant traffic flow during the parade. This year, we also incorporated two students into the announcing portion,\u201d She adds, \u201cWe are so proud of our amazing students, their sponsors, and parents who dedicate a lot of time and effort to making these festive performances come to life. They truly capture the spirit of the school community,\u201d
All 14 of LFCISD\u2019s Campuses participated in this year’s Rodeo Parade.
Mrs. Cisneros acknowledged several students. Students Aisbeth Juarez and Oziel Ian Garza from Los Fresnos High School acted as this years announcers; doing a wonderful job. Aswell she mentioned the Los Fresnos Interact group. The Interact group is a branch of Rotary for students in High School. Cisneros says regarding the students, \u201cThey are amazing students\u201d adding, \u201cI just wanna give them a lot of credit.\u201d
