{"id":1647,"date":"2013-08-02T19:04:34","date_gmt":"2013-08-02T19:04:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/?p=1647"},"modified":"2013-08-02T19:13:07","modified_gmt":"2013-08-02T19:13:07","slug":"mandatory-lfhs-summer-band-begins-july-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/?p=1647","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory LFHS Summer Band Begins July 29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Summer Band for Los Fresnos High School band students begins at 7 a.m. Monday, July 29 and runs for one week.<\/p>\n<p>Summer Band is mandatory for all students as preparation for the fall marching show begins.<\/p>\n<p>The Summer Band schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">7-9:45 a.m.<\/td>\n<td>All members marching rehearsal (physical training and fundamentals); Color Guard practice.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">8:30-9:55 a.m.<\/td>\n<td>Sectional \u2013 Percussion front ensemble<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">10-10:55 a.m.<\/td>\n<td>Sectionals \u2013 Low brass, clarinets, french horns, snare drums and tenor drums<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">11-11:55 a.m.<\/td>\n<td>Sectionals \u2013 trumpets, flutes, saxophones, and bass drums<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"><br \/>\nAll-Valley Practice Sessions (mandatory for all top band students)<br \/>\nMonday-Thursday, July 29-Aug. 1<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">1:1:30 p.m.<\/td>\n<td>Trumpet, trombones, saxophones, clarinets.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">1:35-2:05 p.m.<\/td>\n<td>Horns, low clarinet, baritone, flute and percussion.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100\">2:10-2:40 p.m.<\/td>\n<td>Tuba, oboe, bassoon, and percussion<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Dress code for summer band is t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes.<\/p>\n<p>Parents interested in joining the Band Booster Club are encouraged to attend an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the LFHS Music Building.
