Daniel T. Robles<\/p><\/div>\n

Daniel T. Robles, a life-long resident of San Benito, Texas, today announced his intention to seek election to the position of Judge of Cameron County Court at Law No. 1 in the upcoming March, 2014 primary elections. Mr. Robles has already filed his designation of treasurer and all required documents with the Cameron County Election\u2019s Administrator and is launching his election campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf elected, I intend to work diligently to help restore the public\u2019s trust in the Judicial Court System of Cameron County, Texas. As a man of faith, a husband, a father of two young adults and as a practicing attorney in Cameron County, Texas, I am convinced that an improvement must be made in serving the needs of all who visit this Court and I am not only able but willing to do so by seeking election to this bench.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robles stated \u201cI believe that I am qualified to serve the public as I did previously as Judge of a Cameron County Court at Law from 1999 until 2009. I understand the duties and obligations of a Judge and I honestly believe the majority of attorneys who practiced before me those ten years would agree as shown by the results of the Cameron County Bar Association Judicial Performance Polls completed during my terms of office. These Performance Polls results consistently demonstrated high reviews in all categories of me and my staff\u2019s performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to my prior service on the bench, I have served as a Board Member for the Cameron County Bar Association and also served on the Board of Directors for State Bar of Texas – Judicial Section with a statewide group of Judges. I also served as a member of the Texas Center for the Judiciary Curriculum Committee and served as a Faculty Speaker at several Texas Center for the Judiciary Regional Seminars and at a Family Law Seminar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as my education is concerned, I have completed 433 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) in the 24 years I have been licensed to practice law. Specifically, 35 CLE hours were completed at the College for New Judges and I additionally completed 34 CLE hours in advanced, specialized training in Core and Civil Specialty Studies at the Texas College for Judicial Studies in CLE training beginning in 2004 and completed in 2007.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robles states \u201cI handled my own docket and upon request assisted other Cameron County Court at Law and District Court Judges. I also presided over multiple civil and criminal cases in Starr, Willacy, Hidalgo and Nueces Counties by special appointment of the Presiding Judge of the Fifth Administrative Region.\u201d<\/p>\n
