The warm temperatures and longer hours of sunlight in spring and summer make playing sports, walking, biking, swimming and jogging outdoors much easier.<br \/>\nIf the coming weather leaves you feeling unmotivated, planning ahead may help in your success to maintaining an active healthy lifestyle this winter.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Invest in warm clothing<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nIf you feel warmer when you\u2019re outdoors in colder temperatures, you\u2019re more likely to keep up jogging, walking, dancing, cycling or outdoor fitness classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Exercise Indoors<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nIf even wearing thermal layers isn\u2019t enough for you to stay motivated to exercise outdoors in the fall and winter, concentrate on indoor activities that will help you achieve your fitness goals. There are plenty of strength training and aerobic classes that can be taken indoors.<br \/>\nIndoor sports like basketball, volleyball and swimming are also great ways to keep healthy this winter. (Remember you have access to FREE exercise classes Mon-Fri, classes will be held indoors during the winter.)<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Sign Up for a Gym<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nIf you prefer working out alone or maybe working out in a weight training setting joining a gym for the winter months could be the right choice for you.<\/p>\n<p>It may take a little extra effort to stay motivated to exercise during the cold fall and winter months, but your health is worth spending the extra time and money.
