The camp also promoted science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.<\/p>\n<p>Out of several hundred applications, only 45 students were selected to attend the free two-week program academic residential camp emphasizing mathematics and science skills while introducing them to college life and stimulating their interest in science and engineering as a potential career path.<\/p>\n<p>Campers were required to complete a minimum of 54 hours of advanced STEM study taught by highly qualified educators.
