Los Fresnos CISD scored a perfect 30 points in the ratings. A passing score was 16 points.<\/p>\n<p>For 10 years previous, Los Fresnos CISD received the Superior Achievement rating, which was the highest.<\/p>\n<p>Changes to the School FIRST system were implemented by TEA in August 2015 that combined financial indicators with financial solvency indicators, in accordance with House Bill 5, 83rd Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The primary goal of School FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of school districts\u2019 financial resources, a goal made more significant due to the complexity of accounting associated with the Texas school finance system.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new system, TEA now issues School FIRST a two-tier rating system of either \u201cP\u201d for \u201cPass\u201d or \u201cF\u201d for Substandard Achievement\u201d for the 2014-2015 rating year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Los Fresnos CISD has received a passing rating at Texas\u2019 Schools FIRST financial accountability rating system, the highest rating possible for the 11th consecutive year.
