USDA will now accept applications for housing assistance for home construction, purchase, and repair throughout Los Fresnos, Texas and nearby unincorporated subdivisions.<\/p>\n<p>USDA Rural Development housing programs include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Section 502 Guaranteed Single Family Housing Loans &#8211; home loans originated by approved mortgage lenders to offer qualified moderate income households with affordable home loan financing through a loan guarantee from USDA Rural Development.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Section 502 Single Family Direct Home Loans &#8211; 100% affordable, fixed-rate home loans made by USDA to low- and very low-income households.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Section 504 Home Improvement\/Repair Loans and Grants &#8211; loans and grants to help very low-income rural homeowners to remove health and safety hazards, finance home improvements, and make homes accessible for people with disabilities in an owner-occupied dwelling.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Section 523 Self Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants &#8211; grants to nonprofit organizations to provide technical assistance and supervise groups of very-low- and low-income individuals and families as they construct their own homes in rural areas.
