Married in 1990, Imelda continued working for bakeries until she retired recently, though her love of making cakes and \u201crollos\u201d or cake rolls kept calling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Spurred by her husband Imelda timidly accepted the vision of her owning and operating her very own cake shop.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cI have a little savings,\u201dsaid Fransisco and after inquiring about suite #4 which was available at Arroyo Plaza located at 315 N. Arroyo Blvd. the dream was on its way to reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/DSC05249.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7622\" src=\"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/DSC05249.jpg\" alt=\"DSC05249\" width=\"600\" height=\"402\" srcset=\"https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/DSC05249.jpg 600w, https:\/\/losfresnosnews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/DSC05249-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cDuring a family dinner our children came up with the business name and later designed the logo,\u201d said Fransisco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Frutti Rollo is now open and the family thanks the City of Los Fresnos, Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Fresnos community for the opportunity to serve them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Frutti Rollo offers rollos (cake rolls with fruit filling), pasteles (cakes), empanadas (danish), quequitos (cupcakes), and chocoflan (chocolate flan) and are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and can be reached at (956)408-8290.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Victor Moreno\/LFN It\u2019s been the culmination of hard work, determination and a vision for the Castorena family as they celebrated the grand opening of Frutti Rollo Cake Shop.
