The summer program at the Ethel L. Whipple Memorial Library has come to an end for this year.<\/p>\n

Library personnel said they are looking forward to next year after the success it generated.<\/p>\n

More than 300 families participated in the month long program which this time included not just reading but getting ahead when it comes to getting points at the school.<\/p>\n

Angie Lugo, the library director, said they did not expect such a big turnout.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a huge success,\u2019\u2019 she said. \u201cThis was our second year and we will have it again in 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

The summer program was held during the month of July, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had the students reading and logging the titles of the materials they read,\u201d she said. \u201cThey will take the information to school where they will earn points.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
