Photo: Tony Vindell\/LFN<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>by Tony Vindell\/LFN<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Everything people need to know about the fascinating monarch butterfly will be available this week at the South Padre Island Birding &amp; Nature Center.<\/p>\n<p>The facility will have a series of events from Oct. 26-28 as the annual migration of these beautiful insects is taking place.<\/p>\n<p>Millions of these butterflies migrate this time of year from southern Canada and the northern United States to their winter grounds in the Mexican state of Michoacan.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day event will start with a winged gala to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at the center at 6801 Padre Boulevard.
