Simon Vega Honored at Rio Grande Valley Walk Of Fame

Simon Vega was postumously inducted into the Rio Grande Valley Walk of Fame on February 27, 2019.
Vega’s daughter, Rosie Vega Mezouari, accepted the award in his honor. The event was held in Hidalgo at The State Farm Arena. Mayor Polo Narvaez, his wife Carlota and Rosie’s husband Farid Mezouari attended the event.
