Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) is proud to announce a compassionate initiative titled “Coins for California” aimed at supporting the victims of the devastating wildfires that have recently ravaged various regions in California. This heartfelt community-wide campaign is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Los Fresnos CISD Education Foundation in partnership with the Rotary Club of Los Fresnos, and it invites students, families, and local residents to come together to make monetary donations that will directly fund crucial relief efforts.
The “Coins for California” campaign is set to run for an entire month, from Monday, January 13, to Wednesday, February 13. Throughout this period, donations will be collected at all campuses under the Los Fresnos CISD umbrella, making it convenient for everyone in the community to participate. The funds raised through this initiative will be sent directly to the American Red Cross, an organization renowned for its efficiency in providing emergency assistance, food, shelter, and support for those affected by natural disasters.
This initiative not only aims to raise funds but also seeks to cultivate a sense of solidarity and compassion within the community, encouraging participants to engage in conversations and activities that support their fellow citizens in need. The Los Fresnos CISD is hopeful that the collective efforts of its students, families, and residents will make a significant impact on the lives of those suffering from the wildfires in California.
