Los Fresnos NROTC Student Presents Girl Scouts Project

A Los Fresnos high school student submitted a Navy JROTC project during a contest and was named one of seven runner-ups.
Audrey Solis is a LFCISD senior who submitted and presented Encouraging Girls to Discover Their Full Potential project during the 12th annual Way to Happiness Scholarship competition.
She said she has been stressing the importance young girls play as members of the Girls Scouts of America organization.
Solis won a $100 scholarship in the contest that took place Thursday, April 4 at Harlingen Family Dentistry.
She has been accepted to several colleges but she is considering joining the United States Marine Corps.
Solis has been in the Navy JROTC program for four years and as a senior she was selected as the commanding officer of Los Fresnos Falcon Company.
She is the Unarmed Drill Team commander and participates in nine of out of 11 teams and has been selected for several National level recognitions which will be presented during the NJROTC Awards Night on May 10th.
Her instructor is David Arjona.
