LFCISD Summer Session Begins

Summer school has begun at Los Fresnos CISD.
This means that for many students, the summer recess will keep them closer to the books than away from them.
But rather than going from Monday through Friday as during regular school sessions, student are having Friday off.
The first day of class began May 29 and the summer session runs through the month of June.
Remediation programs will be held for the following programs:
– High school and middle school students at Los Fresnos United: Academic program for credit retrieval, Bilingual ESL program and SSI Grade 8, May 29-June 20.
– Elementary students at Dora Romero Elementary: Academic remediation and English Acquisition Bilingual Program for Pre-K and Kinder, SSI Grade 5, Project SMART Math for migrant students PreK-8. May 29-June 25
End of Course testing will be held on the following dates:
– Monday, June 24: English I.
– Tuesday, June 25: Algebra I and U.S. History
– Wednesday, June 26: English II
– Thursday, June 27: Biology
Class time in all programs is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break for all students.
Breakfast and lunch and transportation are provided for all students.
