The Fourth of July celebration in Los Fresnos took place Wednesday, July 3, here as area residents gathered at the Memorial Park on North Arroyo Boulevard.
Among the many activities held throughout the night was a patriotic costume themed contest where prizes went to the most unique costumes.
There were also train rides, musical chairs, face painting, free watermelon slices and a tug-of-war event through the evening of fun and music.
The celebration was held in conjunction with the monthly Under the Stars Artisan market in which dozens of food, arts and crafts and numerous gadget vendors participated in the event that has been going on for nearly a year and a half since it first launched.
The festivities began at 6 p.m. and went on past 9 p.m. as fireworks burst into the air, bringing the annual event to its end.
