Our local Friends of the Library, in their goal to bring the joy of reading to all, have constructed a “Little Library” (LL)which will be permanently placed by the city in Los Fresnos Memorial Park located on 900 N. Arroyo Blvd. The “Little Library” will be filled with books from our Ethel L. Whipple Memorial Library and are for all to share. A variety of books will be available for all ages and interests. This is a pilot program that the library hopes to expand to other areas of the community. These books are absolutely free of charge, no library card is necessary.

This program has been made possible by the Ethel L. Whipple Memorial Library Friends of the Library group, monetary donations from the community and books from the library collection.

Books in the LL will be available to anyone. The reader may keep the book, give it to someone or place it back in the LL. The Friends of the Library and library staff will add books on a regular basis. Books for young readers, books in Spanish, both fiction and nonfiction will be included. Readers may contact the Ethel L. Whipple Memorial Library for further information.
