The new Los Fresnos City Hall under construction along Texas Highway 100 looks as good as it gets.
The massive building is closer to being completed and, if everything goes as planned, it will be ready to be occupied before the end of the year.
“I believe we could be moving in on November 1,” City Manager Mark Milum said. “It’s almost completed.”
Asked if the city hall construction project is being built within budget projections, he said, “Yes.”
Construction of the $3.2 million facility began a year ago and the 11,500-square-feet will be twice the size of the existing city hall on North Brazil Street.
The new building will be large enough to house the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber officials said that will be a relief, particularly when it comes to using the restrooms.
Up to now, they have no choice but to go to Wells Fargo Bank or to the convenience store across the street.
