Students at Los Fresnos Elementary are getting a taste of high school Nov. 15 as Los Fresnos High School CTE programs visit their campus.
The “CTE on Tour” visit to LFE is one of four visits during the school by CTE students, all 564 of whom got to see five programs presented by LFHS students.
“It’s a great way to expose elementary students in the district to all of the great opportunities we have in Career and Technical education,” CTE Director Ronnie Rodriguez said.
Programs that visited LFE included Agricultural Science, Electrical Applications, Sea Perch, Business Professionals of America (BPA) and Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).
It’s the third year for the CTE on Tour program, which has visited almost all of the nine elementary schools. The visits are in conjunction with the 21st Century Math Fair ongoing at Olmito Elementary.
