Food Truck Park Holds 3rd Annual Christmas Festival
- Updated: December 25, 2023
By Mike Villarreal
The Broken Sprocket, which is a family-first food truck park that just happens to have a beer and a dog park held their 3rd annual Christmas Festival. The festival was held on Sunday, December 10th from 5 pm to 9 pm. This year’s event was sponsored by Jesus Rosas and Prime Towers Services, who always want to give back to the community.
Owner of the Broken Sprocket Tony Estrada made sure to let us know that this would not be possible without the help of Jennifer Schuster, who is the mastermind behind this, and other events aimed at giving back to the community. Jennifer mentioned, “As long as you have the desire and heart anything is possible.”
This year they were able to give out 250 gifts to children in attendance. There were door prizes given out every 30 minutes as well. And of course, Santa was on hand to talk with all the kids. There were 10 vendors on hand this year along with a Santa’s workshop where the children could make Christmas ornaments. There was plenty to do like mini golf, face painting, cupcake walk, and plenty of other games.
Jennifer mentioned that the Holy Smoke Food Truck was truly in the holiday spirit as they gave away free meals to all the kids from the Sunny Glenn Orphanage. The Los Fresnos News would like to Thank Tony Estrada, Jesus Rosas, and Jennifer Schuster for all their community-oriented events which as Jennifer mentioned “it’s all about giving back.” The Broken Sprocket is located at 6305 Paredes Line Rd. in Brownsville. You can also find them on their Facebook page The Broken Sprocket.
