No City Election Needed

Real & Minton to be Reseated, Tom Jones only candidate to Replace Atherton
The City of Los Fresnos Municipal November 5 Election was canceled since there were no opposing candidates for the three available seats on the council.
Commissioner Gary Minton will continue in Place 5 where he has served since 2006. Minton also was councilmen from 2002-2004.
Place 2 will again be occupied by Commissioner Swain Real who was elected in 2008.
Commissioner Alan Altherton, who is leaving the council due to work circumstances, will be replaced by Tom Jones. Jones will serve for the remaining two years of the three year term. Minton, Real and Jones were the only candidates to file for these election posts.
All three gentlemen will begin their new terms November 12 at a swearing-in ceremony and their service will end in November of 2016.
