Christian Thrift Shop Serves the Community

The Christian Thrift Shop, located on the corner of Alamo and 7th St., is a ministry of the Los Fresnos United Methodist Church. The mission of the Christian Thrift Shop is to sell donated items and utilize the proceeds for church missions, ministries, and outreach programs within our community. They are also available to provide assistance with donated items for individuals in need due to emergency situations in the community of Los Fresnos.

Thanks to your donations, C.T.S. donates $250 every month to the LF Community Food Pantry, has been able to Serve Our Schools (S.O.S.) by donating school supplies to several of the elementary schools and supports the youth by providing scholarships for camps. This year the C.T.S. has created a voucher program for our school councilors to use for families in need of items such as clothing, coats, and kitchen supplies. The families that have already taken advantage of this program are very grateful for the much needed items they receive.

As you can see, the Christian Thrift Shop does a great job in helping our community and we need your help to continue with these programs. You can help by bringing your donations to the Christian Thrift Shop on Tuesday mornings or to the church Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 – 1:00 pm. Want to do more?
