LFE STUDENTS OBSERVE FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
- Updated: October 25, 2013

Students participated in demonstrations to learn fire safety skills .
October was a month full of various activities for Los Fresnos Elementary School.
One of the fun filled activities was fire prevention week. Mrs. Sosa-Lopez’ class was one of the classes that participated in Fire Prevention Week. They attended a presentation where Los Fresnos volunteer firefighters presented information on how to keep safe.
The Fire Department offered information on how to escape in case of a fire, advised them to develop an exit route at home, and to keep safe by installing fire detectors at home.
LFE students learned to stop, drop, and roll and to call 911 in case of a fire. Mrs. Sosa-Lopez’ class also created posters to display fire safety practices.
Mrs. Sosa-Lopez’ class posed with their firefighter hats as students learned about fire prevention.
