Boots on Ground Endurance Mud Run Scheduled for this Weekend

The Boots on Ground Endurance Mud Run is scheduled for this Saturday, November 8th! The Endurance Mud Run is dedicated to honoring those who have served our country and fought for our freedom. The event will feature a 10k stretch of brutal terrain and a daunting obstacle course as well as a 5k for those who would like to run a fun and exciting race! As our soldiers have for many generations, individuals and teams will be tested not only on their physical abilities, but also their mental strength when faced with difficult situations. Be a part of this exciting adventure and find out if you’re VETERAN TOUGH!

The city of Los Fresnos proudly presents the Second Annual Veteran’s Memorial Endurance Mud Run. The race is once again being held at the Rodeo Grounds in Los Fresnos, Texas on November 8, 2014. The event will serve as a way of honoring our fallen veterans as well as those who live and work among us after serving in our military branches. Honoring those who have sacrificed their family time, careers and health so that millions of Americans can enjoy the freedom we do today. Being in the military, one develops a well-rounded understanding of team work and mental and physical toughness. On November 8th, these are the qualities participants will have to posses while running the endurance race. When it’s all said and done, you will know what it is to be VETERAN TOUGH!

The goal for the annual mud run is to raise enough money to build a Veteran’s Memorial in Honor of the veterans of Los Fresnos as well as the veterans of the Rio Grande Valley.

The fine folks from Ground Zero Gym volunteered to help the City of Los Fresnos with the fundraiser Boots on the Ground 10k/5k Mud Run! It’s going to be awesome as Ground Zero Gym designed some of the obstacles straight from the show American Ninja Warrior and will also have a mobile Double Salmon Ladder out there with a special challenge! The goal being to bring you the toughest biggest muddiest course in the Valley!

Also, the 2014 United League Champion Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings Baseball Team will be in attendance. Mrs. WildWing and members of the staff will be on hand handing out free materials and will have the 2014 United League Championship Trophy on hand so fans can take pictures with it. Registrants for Boots on Ground will have a chance to win family four packs of tickets to selected WhiteWings games in 2015.

This years event is going to be BIGGER and BETTER. The City of Los Fresnos has some big plans and new obstacles planned. You don’t want to miss this event! There will be Live music by Bullet Ride and one free beer thanks to Glazer’s Rgv, lots of free giveaways at the Mud Run Booth, and our honored guest the Valleys own Abel Gonzalez, who appeared and competed on the TV show “American Ninja Warrior” and of course there will be LOTS & LOTS of MUD!
