Students Decorate Buses for LOVE THE BUS Month
- Updated: March 4, 2015
Many elementary school students throughout the Los Fresnos CISD enjoy riding buses to and from school each day so much, that they will go to great lengths to decorate them.
February is the Eighth Annual Love the Bus Month, a campaign started by the American School Bus Council, to raise awareness and appreciation for the hundreds of thousands of school bus drivers who safely transport children to and from school.
Students throughout the district have used the Valentine’s Day theme to decorate buses with posters, banners, and heart decorations. Laureles Elementary students decorated Bus 164, even putting paper big lips on the front of the bus.
By understanding the value of student transportation to our education system, Love the Bus promotes the idea that every person involved in our schools is critical to our children’s success.
