Rio Grande LNG Developers Hold Public Open House
- Updated: June 12, 2015
NextDecade, LLC., developers of the Rio Grande LNG and Rio Bravo Pipeline projects hosted an exclusive Media event on Thursday, May 21, from 3 to 4 pm at the ITEC – International Technical, Education & Commerce Center located at 3-1 Mexico Blvd in Brownsville. The Media event was held prior to a Public Open House that followed afterwards from 5 to 7:30 pm.
Media Representatives had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the NextDecade team members and project experts who have 130 years combined experience in international LNG projects. They provided project overviews, covered highlights on the projects and answered questions.
The Rio Bravo Pipeline is roughly a 140 mile proposed new natural gas pipeline that will be built to provide natural gas for the Rio Grande LNG facility that is proposed for a 1,000 acre industrial-zoned site at the Port of Brownsville Ship Channel. The project is expected to create 4,000 to 6,000 construction jobs, 200 plus well paid full-time jobs, and an initial investment in excess of $8 billion for the first phase of the project.
NextDecade, LLC., developers of the Rio Grande LNG, is the only LNG constructing a pipeline and also held 2 other Open Houses in Kingsville and in Raymondville.
