LFHS to Co-Sponsor Two Volleyball Camps for Youth, Four LFHS Players Participate in 2015 AAU National Volleyball Championships

Los Fresnos High School and the South Texas Juniors Volleyball Club will co-sponsor two volleyball campus – one for three weeks and another for one week – at the LFHS Gymnasium this summer.

The 12th Annual Summer Volleyball Boot Camp will be held for student-athletes in grades 7 to 12 from June 27 to July 18 at the LFHS Back Gym. The camp will be held for nine three-hour sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Vertical jumping, strength, speed, conditioning and volleyball skills will be the main focus of the Boot Camp. The workouts will primarily include the use of medicine balls, boxes, bands and free weights. The main focus is strength, improved volleyball skill and injury prevention.

The $125 registration fee includes a Boot Camp t-shirt.

LFHS will also host the Summer Volleyball Camp July 27-31 at the LFHS Back Gym for student-athletes in grades 7-12.

Participants in grades 7-9 will hold camp from 2-5 p.m., while students in grades 10-12 will hold camp from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The registration fee of $75 includes a camp t-shirt.
