Centennial Anniversary Stage Show Scheduled Friday, Jan. 22
- Updated: January 15, 2016
The year-long Los Fresnos CISD Centennial Celebration continues.
A Centennial Anniversary Stage Show will feature fashion, theater, music and visual arts at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at the Los Fresnos High School Theatre.
The theatrical performance will be performed by LFHS students in the Theatre Arts program, under the direction of Larry McConnell. Students from other schools will also be featured throughout the program.
The show is part of many activities throughout the 2015-16 school year in celebration of the first school that opened in Los Fresnos in 1915. At the Homecoming Parade Nov. 5, schools designed creative floats specific to decades since 1915.
Some student performances and props from the eras will be featured at the Stage Show. Music will be appropriate for each decade, and photographs and videos will also be shown on the stage’s hanging screens.
Kiosks with pictures and videos from each era will be on display with a timeline that explains activities around the world and in Los Fresnos throughout the 100-year history.
Master of Ceremonies will be LFHS senior and all-state choir member Kathleen Clark, who is also the reigning Miss Los Fresnos.
Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served.
