4th of July Parade to be followed by Celebration at Memorial Park, Fireworks
This year Los Fresnos Independence Day Celebration is set to take place this Saturday, July 2, 2016.
The Parade is a Community Parade and the city urges everyone to participate in one form or another.
Participants are asked to dress in their Red, White, and Blue. Dress up your pet dog or cat and bring them too.
Decorate wagons, strollers, skateboards, bikes, golf carts, or just yourselves. Decorate your cars, pickups, trailers, make “parade floats” and join the Parade.
All veterans and families of our fallen heroes are especially invited to participate in the Parade.
There is NO FEE to participate in the Parade. Please visit the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce office to register.
The Parade will start at 4 pm with the Boys and Girl Scouts leading the parade. Parade line-up begins at 3 pm on N. Brazil and 2nd Streets.
The Celebration continues after the parade at Los Fresnos Memorial Park, located across from Los Fresnos High School, at 5 pm.
There will be a presentation of the colorsf, ree live music by the Texas Showdown Band, free watermelon slices courtesy of Los Fresnos WalMart.
There will also be free train rides, giant slide, super swing rides, and bouncer for the kids.
Food vendors will be there as well as a variety of vendor booths and information booths.
The celebration ends with fireworks beginning at 9 pm (best viewed from in front of the Rodeo Grounds).
