Hundreds of parents of students from the three Los Fresnos CISD middle schools met with administrators and parents at Back-to-School Night Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Back-to-School Nights were held Aug. 28 at Los Fresnos United, Aug. 29 for nine elementary schools, and Sept. 1 for Los Fresnos High Schools.
The Back-to-School Nights events provided an opportunity for parents to meet with school administrators and teachers. At the middle schools, parents met with the school principals in their respective gymnasiums to hear about school policies and procedures. They were then dismissed to their childrens’ classrooms to meet with teachers and to hear about the academic expectations for the coming year.
Parent Academic Conferences – intended to review academic progress for students – are scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 21st, after the first nine-week marking period ends. Early dismissal is scheduled for district students that day so that parents can meet with teachers that afternoon.
