Canutillo ISD Administrators Visit Los Fresnos CISD Schools
- Updated: October 14, 2016

Six administrators from Canutillo ISD, located just north of El Paso, visited Los Fresnos CISD schools Monday to learn about the district’s English/Language Arts curriculum.
Veronica Vigil, Associate Superintendent at Canuttllo ISD, led the contingent of administrators that included two principals, an assistant principal, an English/Language Arts coordinator, and an instructional coach.
Vigil, who knows Los Fresnos United principal Jenny Stumbaugh through professional development, wanted to come to Los Fresnos CISD to “see what you are doing right here. Los Fresnos has done a great job in ELA curriculum and we wanted to know more about it.”
The six administrators visited classrooms at Los Fresnos United, the district’s ninth and tenth grade campus. In the afternoon session, three administrators visited Los Fresnos High School and three visited Liberty Memorial Middle School.
They sat in a classroom at LFU and visited with English and Science teachers at LFHS and LMMS during conference periods.
