Holiday Fitness & Nutrition Challenge
- Updated: December 1, 2017
Fitness and Nutrition is a lifestyle and is seen by many as a work in progress. You make changes, adjustments, and modifications as you go, which is a very healthy outlook for life. The key to health is combining both elements of Fitness and Nutrition to your lifestyle.
The holidays are here and for many of us this is a time when we may put on a few extra pounds. Why not change up the things this holiday season, give yourself the gift of better health. Challenge yourself to a few healthy changes from now till Christmas. Be sure to invite friends and family to join you in this Holiday Challenge.
PART I of the Challenge is fueling yourself properly- this is the part that matters the most. Challenge yourselves to remove an unhealthy food daily from now till December 25th. Choose the foods you plan to eliminate carefully and consider only those foods that are really empty or wasted calories such us processed foods and sugars. Replace those foods with whole foods like fruits, vegetables and lean meats.
PART II Plan a fitness regimen of exercising a minimum of 30 minutes a day 5 times a week from now till Christmas. This could be an easy breezy walk in the park or a more challenging full hour workout.
