Winter Wonderland 2017
- Updated: December 22, 2017
Temperatures Dip and Valley Sees First Snowfall Since 2004
A cold snap on Friday, December 8, 2017 brought cold enough temperatures to bring with it the most significant snowfall in thirteen years.
Although school wasn’t cancelled, the snow continued to fall steadily until a little after noon, piling up to 1-1.5 inches in some parts of the Valley as the system pushed through.
Residents were excited, posting images on social media as the Valley experienced it’s first “Winter Wonderland” since December 2004.
We asked our readers to post their best images on our Facebook page and chose these twenty five to print here. Thank you so much!
The snow may have only lasted a day but it went a long way to making this Christmas extra special.
