Mr. Amigo Association to Host Taste of La Frontera

The Mr. Amigo Association is hosting its annual fundraiser event, Taste of la Frontera, which features regional cuisine from restaurants on the border, beer and wine, music, and entertainment. Taste of La Frontera is on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Brownsville Event Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Taste of La Frontera pre-sale tickets can be purchased for $25 at the Brownsville Convention & Visitors Bureau, Antonio’s Mexican Village, or Los Trevi Drive-Thru or from any Mr. Amigo board member, or online through Eventbrite at https://taste2018.eventbrite.com/
A convenience fee will apply for all online sales. The day of event tickets will be on sale for $30 at the door starting at 5:00 p.m.
Among the estimated 35 participating restaurants are Antonio’s Mexican Village, Shenanigan’s, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q, Cobblehead’s, Vermillion Restaurant, Ultimo Taco, Mariscos de la Rosa, plus many more. Log on to www.mramigo.com for updates on participating restaurants. Restaurants subject to change.
The Mr. Amigo Association works to promote relations between the United States and Mexico and highlight the way of life between Brownsville and Matamoros. Past Mr. Amigo Association honorees include many prominent artists from México which include Eduardo Yanez, Juan Gabriel, Arath De La Torre, Lucero, Vicente Fernandez and many more. This year’s Mr. Amigo is philanthropist Fernando Landeros, founder of Telethon and CRIT.
