DPS Troopers Donate School Supplies to Las Yescas
- Updated: September 14, 2018
by Ronnie Zamora/LFCISD
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers donated backpacks full of school supplies to needy children at Las Yescas Elementary.
In a drawing held at the DPS office recently, Las Yescas was selected from several schools in the area.
Twenty-two troopers and two sergeants at two Brownsville stations donated about 15 backpacks full of supplies to students at all grade levels.
LYE administrators selected the families from the school who could not afford to buy school supplies to accept the donations.
