HEB “Helping Heroes” Project Honors and Serves Los Fresnos Emergency Services Personnel
- Updated: September 21, 2018
Commemorating September 11th as a National Day of Service and Remembrance Brownsville H.E.B. #446 located on the corner of Paredes Line Road and Ruben Torres Blvd. recognized our local men and women – firefighters, police officers and medical first responders – by coming out to the 200 North Brazil Street location and preparing a lunch for our Emergency Services personnel.
H.E.B.’s efforts began as early as 8 a.m. with different activities taking place through noon that day. The project which originated in 2005 was created to honor the extraordinary heroism of those who risk their lives every day and to pay tribute to those service men and women who lost their lives on 9/11.
H.E.B. representatives Armando Sanchez (General Manager), Bea Baez, Javi Hernandez, Karyna Amaya and Lupita Pereyra were among the volunteers who hosted the lunch.
