Are you thinking about doing something different this coming Saturday?
Head out to Harlingen as the city is hosting a tour where locals and visitors can learn about its history, its mural culture and its old buildings, among other things.
The free tour will be held from 9-10:30 p.m.
Anyone interested in joining the tour should meet at J&B’s Café at 204 E. Jackson St. or call 956-425-5282.
And for others interested in having healthy fruits and vegetables, a farmers market will take place later in the day.
More than 20 vendors, some of which grow organic foodstuffs, will be on hand selling pesticide free staples such as tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, celery as well as grapefruit and oranges.
The farmer market, which is pet friendly, features a chef demonstration and live music, will be from 3-4:30 p.m. on the city hall parking lot at Second Street and Tyler Avenue.
