LFHS Places in Finals at UIL State Cheer Championships

The Los Fresnos High School Cheerleaders placed among the top 15 schools in the finals of the UIL Spirit State Championships Jan. 19 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
LFHS competed in the Co-Ed division with other schools of other classifications that featured boys and girls on cheer teams. Cheer teams performed in three categories – fight song, band chant and crowd leading.
After the preliminary round, LFHS was in fifth place with a score of 206.07. In the finals, LFHS finished in 15th place out of 47 teams. No other Rio Grande Valley school placed higher.
