- Updated: April 8, 2013
Los Fresnos High School’s Navy JROTC Drill Teams will participate in the Navy JROTC National Drill Competition April 13. The team qualified by placing at the Texas Navy JROTC Drill Meet held March 22 at College Station.
Because of military budget cuts, the routine will be submitted virtually by video at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at the LFHS Gymnasium. The public is encouraged to attend. There is no admission charge.
LFHS was among 25 drill teams across the nation to advance to the premier competitive event for JROTC units to be held at the Naval Air Station April 13 in Pensacola, Fla. There are more than 600 NJROTC units in the nation.
Cadet/LCDR Erika Sanchez is commander of the LFHS Falcon Unit. Chief Marquez is the Naval Science Instructor at Los Fresnos.
