Three city alleys that have deteriorated due to traffic and the inclement weather will be upgraded thanks to funding from the Community Development Corp.
The entity board of directors voted to allocate $36,000 for the project at its last meeting and the city commission did so at its May 21 meeting.
The alleys are behind Julia’s and Taqueria & Antojitos Mario and Circle K.
The project will get started once the city hires a contractor to do the work.
Although CDC can’t allocate funds for streets in residential areas, the corporation can do so on streets where businesses are located, City Manager Mark Milum said.
